Message quite a bit more than the turbo actually needs, so the greatest point of restriction in the turbo oil feed is going to be in the restrictor jets that are part of the OEM oil feed lines.

Since this is a freshly rebuilt engine, I am concerned with the amount of contaminants that still remain inside of it from machining and assembly; you can never get every last bit of it out and that initial startup generates the most amount of particulate debris that the engine will ever normally see.. I just dont want to pump any of that into the turbos. Realistically, these would be used for the initial startup and for the first 100 miles or so, and then they can be removed as the debris within the engine will have been washed out and caught by the oil filter. Only snag there would be that in order to install these, you are going to make your own feed lines, and then you must have provisions in place to allow you to easily remove the filters. You could really just leave them in there though - I would not expect them to accumulate much debris over time as the oil filter will be doing all the work from there.. But there are still concerns with that theory as the last thing you want to do is starve the turbo of oil.

Another thing I have been contemplating is building an engine test stand to run the engine before it is even put into the car. I could just strap a set of NA manifolds to the heads with some old mufflers attached directly to the ends of them and have the turbo oil feed ports on the block plugged up.. Then fire the engine up and let her run up to temp and check everything, change the oil, filter, etc etc.. Actually, it would be better to install the turbo oil feed lines and just run a hose from the end of the line down to the oil return port on the pan. That way you would ensure that you are purging the entire lubrication system.
